WOODWAY, TX - A Woodway Public Safety officer escaped injury when her patrol car was hit on Highway 84 Monday morning.
Woodway Public Safety reports the officer had stopped in the eastbound lanes of Highway 84 near Estates Drive just before 7 a.m. to remove some debris from the roadway.
A door was among material that had apparently fallen off a vehicle and was lying in the traffic lane, constituting a traffic hazard.
The officer had stopped her car and another vehicle was stopped behind it as she moved the debris off the roadway.
A third vehicle struck the car behind the patrol vehicle, pushing it into the officer's car.
While there was damage and vehicles had to be towed, no one was injured.
