A 17-year-old Waco man has been arrested on charges he and two others shot out windows of numerous vehicles in the Baylor parking garage.
Isaac Rodriguez was named in court paperwork for eight separate charges of criminal mischief related to damage done to vehicles on March 26.
Rodriguez is also named in a separate complaint of criminal trespass by Baylor police along with other criminal mischief charges and theft charges by the city of Waco.
The windows had been shot out by what appeared to be BB’s.
Later, Waco police recovered a stolen vehicle in a parking lot of an apartment complex near the Baylor campus.
That vehicle was found to containa BB gun and BB’s.
When the car was recovered, two suspects were seen running from it, with court papers saying one of them was identified as Isaac Rodriguez who later gave a statement regarding the windows being shot out.
Two others identified in the case were juveniles, ages 15 and 16.
Among the vehicles, seven reported damages less than $750 each, but one victim reported $2700 damage.
Fox 44 spoke with several students who say they had no idea that this even happened.
However they are upset saying this is not funny because car damages can be very costly.
Seth Howton, a student says, ” It is frustrating to hear that something like this would happen in garages.
Most of us aren’t gonna have enough money to fix such damages.”
He says, “If it happened to my car, if my windshield was shot out I can’t drive my car that is thousand of dollars of repair and not counting the weeks I have to wait.”
