The Trump Administration says an eleven day operation ended with the seizure of more than 900 pounds of illegal drugs worth more than $4M on the street.

The Department of the Interior Opioid Reduction Task Force lead the operation in and around tribal reservations in Arizona from May 15th to May 26th.  This is what they uncovered:

  • 9,050 Fentanyl pils
  • 48.2lbs of methamphetamine
  • 1.2lbs of heroin
  • 863 lbs of marijuana
  • 8oz of cocaine
  • $30,000

U.S. Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke said, “Our task force on opioids continues to distinguish itself as one of the finest operations in law enforcemen t today; I could not be more proud of these professionals.

The DOI Task Force for this operation included special agents from the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Division of Drug Enforcement, and BIA K-9 uniformed officers. This is the second operation led by the task force.
