A 59-year-old physicians assistant has become the latest to be busted in an on-line sting operation, accused of sending explicit pictures to what he thought was a 15-year-old girl.
Bryan Clark Spruill of Maud, Texas was arrested Tuesday on a warrant obtained by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s office, charged with online solicitation of a minor.
Spruill began communicating via a social media application April 4 with what he believed was a 15-year-old girl, continuing the communication right up to the time of his arrest six days later.
He was actually in communications with a Hamilton County investigator.
Information released by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office said he had sent pictures of himself in underwear and later of his private parts and tried to set up Face Time chats with what he thought was a child.
He continued to demand nude photographs of the child.
The release said that Spruill was provided numerous chances to stop all communications with the child.
However, Spruill actually begged the child to continue corresponding with him by messaging the child, “I need you.”
On Monday Hamilton County investigators were able to establish probable cause for a felony warrant, which was signed by Hamilton County Justice of the Peace James Lively.
Spruill was arrested the following day with the assistance of Bowie County Sheriff’s Office.
