Police seek help in hit and run case

Temple police are seeking help from the public as they continue their investigation into a Monday night hit and run accident that resulted in the death of a 54-year-old man.

The Accident Reconstruction Team is asking that anyone who may have witnessed the accident or has video or pictures of the area near the 1500 block of Scott Boulevard to contact Temple Police at 254-298-5500 or Bell County Crime Stoppers at 254-526-TIPS (8477)

Police were called to the accident scene at 9:21 p.m. Monday on a report of a person who was hit by a vehicle.

They found 54-year-old Mario Arriaga laying in the roadway.

Arriaga was transported to Bayor Scott & White Medical Center and later died.

Police say he was struck by an unknown vehicle and have no information on the vehicle or driver.
