Temple Police seize over $72K worth of narcotics after executing search warrants

The Temple Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, along with the SWAT team, executed a narcotic search warrant on two separate residences in Temple on Wednesday.

The first residence was in the 2700 block of S. MLK and the second one was in the 5000 block of Warwicke Drive. 

Officers made entry into the residence on MLK and secured Antonio Gardner, who was the only person inside of the residence. During the search, officers located approximately two grams of methamphetamine, five ounces of marijuana, over 500 ecstasy pills,and over 40 Xanax pills. Officers also located a Glock 42 Handgun and about $3,000 cash. The total street value of narcotics removed from the residence is approximately $17,000. Gardner was arrested and transported to the Bell County Sheriff’s Office.

During the search of the residence on Warwicke, officers located approximately 180 grams of powder cocaine, 262 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 21 grams of black tar heroin, heroin and ecstasy pills and a large amount of Marijuana. Officers also found an AK pistol, a Smith and Wesson .9mm handgun, a Glock 23 handgun, a Kahr 380 handgun and a Taurus 38 Special. Corresponding ammo was found for each of the weapons. Approximately, $3,500 cash was also found. The total street value of narcotics removed from the residence is approximately $55,600. Damion Montgomery was the sole occupant in the residence. He was arrested and transported to the Bell County Sheriff’s Office.
