The Waco Police Department is currently investigating a case of possible child endangerment.

Officers are currently working a call at Miss Nelly’s Park in Cameron Park. It has been reported to us by several witnesses that a woman was seen putting at least two small children in the trunk of a vehicle and driving away from the park.

This vehicle was last seen headed toward Herring Avenue. It is described as an older model, light blue, possibly four-door-Toyota, with Texas license plates of DL5-P994.

The vehicle was occupied by two women when it left the scene. The driver is described as being in her late 30’s with blonde hair. At least one of the women was seen putting two, possibly three children into the trunk of the vehicle and telling them to be quiet.

Due to an abundance of caution and concern for children being possibly placed in the trunk of an operating motor vehicle, the department asking for the public’s assistance in locating this vehicle.
