Vehicle hits natural gas line, causes road closures

Officers with the Killeen Police Department were working a crash in the 1100 block of W. Stan Schlueter near H-E-B on Tuesday night.

The department received a call at 6:19 p.m. about the crash involving a vehicle hitting a natural gas line.

This crash caused several road closures at the east and westbound lanes on W. Stan Schlueter Loop, from HWY 195 to Old FM-440, and at the Stan Schlueter southbound exit on HWY 195.

The department urged travelers to find alternate routes due to road closures. No injuries were reported.

As of 7:34 p.m., officers have cleared the scene and have reopened all the roads.
