Waco air traffic controller retires after 30+ years on the job

News

A Waco air traffic controller retires after more than three decades on the job.

Don Vinciletti guided his last plane on Wednesday.

Don started in the industry in 1981. He says this is a job most people take for granted.

“It’s a job where they have to think three steps ahead and are concerned with everyone’s safety,” Don says.

Don says he plans to continue working elsewhere in the aviation industry and also get his pilot’s license.
