Waco PD: Missing man found safe and sound

UPDATE: Waco Police say 64-year old Jerry Lynn Pate has been found and is safe.  
​A community member spotted him at the Whataburger on Valley Mills Drive on Thanksgiving.

He will soon be back with his family.

The Waco Police Department needs your help in locating a missing man.

64-year-old Jerry Lynn Pate is 5’9″ and weighs 160 pounds, with light gray hair and a beard. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue denim jacket, a black shirt with a blue emblem on front, a dark blue ball cap with a U.S. Army emblem on front and white tennis shoes.

He was last seen at 1:30 a.m. on November 20 in the 500 block of N. 38th Street. His caregiver discovered him missing from the residence and contacted the Police Department.

Pate takes several prescription medications daily for medical and mental reasons. When he left the residence he was on foot and did not have his wallet or any money. He wears prescription glasses but does not have them.

Pate is described as a “passive” individual, but can become confused without his medications. He was last reported missing in 2015 and did become disoriented. He has also been known to frequent the area hospitals. He is not supposed to smoke due to a medical conditions, but will try to get cigarettes anywhere he can.
