Baylor Baseball Drops Series Opener to Nebraska

The Baylor baseball team dropped their series opener with Nebraska 12-4 on Friday night at Baylor Ballpark.

The Huskers struck for four runs in the first inning off starter Hayden Kettler. Kettler would not make it through the 5th inning after the Huskers tagged him for three more runs in the fifth.

Baylor was able to scratch single runs across in the second and the fifth, before scoring two more in the ninth. But it was not enough for Nebraska’s powerful offense, as The Huskers tacked on five more runs in the final two innings to put the game out of reach.

Baylor will look to bounce back in game two of the series, with first pitch of game two set for 3:05 on Saturday back at Baylor Ballpark.
