Belton Softball Tops Waco in Five Innings 12-2


The Belton Tigers defeated the Waco Lions on Tuesday at Waco ISD, 12-2 in five innings.  The Tigers had a 6-2 lead in the bottom of the fourth inning, up until Miranda Davila hit an RBI single to take a 7-2 lead.  Belton added two more runs in the fourth, to take a 9-2 lead.  Later on, in the bottom of the fifth, the Tigers were up 10-2 with a runner on first, and then Caleigh Robinson hit a two run walk-off home run, to beat the Lions in five innings 12-2.  Belton’s next game is against Midway, and the Lion’s next opponent is Killeen.
