The Cowboys held their annual pre draft press conference on Tuesday at The Star to discuss the team’s plans for the draft.
Jerry Jones, Stephen Jones and Jason Garrett were peppered with questions about the plans for this team and the reactions to the loss of guys like Dez Bryant, Anthony Hitchens and Orlando Scandrick.
Jones said he feels like the team is better today than they were entering the offseason, because the team has the ability to address their needs in the coming weeks and months.
“One of the biggest things about decision making, in my mind, is misreading what you’ve got to work with, and not planning your attack on what you’ve got to work with,” Jones said. “So I think we’ve got more clarity as to what our team, needs to look like with the personnel that we’ve got. I think that gives you a chance to have a better team.”
The Cowboys will pick 19th in this weekend’s NFL Draft.
