The Aggie wrapped up spring practice last Friday night with the Maroon and White game, where there were a few notable wide receivers not in action, including Kendrick Rogers and Quartney Davis.
Fisher holding a few of the receivers out for precautionary reasons, and while he knows there will need to be work done on the timing between quarterbacks and receivers this summer, it’s work that would need to be done Anyways.
“Your timing and rhythm now, you’ve got to keep it all summer anyways,” Fisher said. “In spring it’s about finding out, who you think can play, what you think they can do, where they are in their development and then get them ready in the summer and fall.”
Quarterback Kellen Mond has used the extra reps to develop some rapport with younger wide receivers.
“I’ve definitely seen a lot of growth from some of the younger guys stepping up,” he said. “You never know what can happen during the season so you’re definitely going to have to be ready.”
The Aggies will open the season on Thursday August 29th against Texas State.
