Iowa State Provides Road Map for a Big 12 Rebuild

Frisco, TX - Baylor will begin the season picked 9th in the Big 12 preseason media poll, a spot that has been regularly occupied by Iowa State.

The Cylcones picked ninth last year, surprised the college football world finishing 8-5 with marquee wins against TCU and Oklahoma.

"I thought it was our kids' player ownership, and ability to really believed in their teammates," Iowa State Head Coach Matt Campbell said. "That allowed us to overcome, those tough times, and have success a year ago."

Campbell who, much like Matt Rhule, preaches process liked what he saw from a Baylor team the Cyclones faced at the end of the season, last year.

"One of the things I was so impressed by his team, was number one, the effort, the kids played with," Campbell said. "Number two, the talent some of the young players had in the program, and how much better that they had gotten. I know Matt a little bit, I've got a little respect for the way he coaches, and what he's able to get out of his program so I think you'll see a much improved Baylor football team."

Iowa State will host Baylor on November 10th, in Ames Iowa.
