Lady Bears Kristy Wallace Suffers ACL Tear

Waco, Texas - Kim Mulkey told the media on Thursday that senior point guard Kristy Wallace has a torn ACL.  Wallace left Monday night's game at the beginning of the second quarter, and never returned.

"Kristy has a torn ACL, but I think you all knew that after the game the other night, I pretty much answered it without being a doctor up here" Kim Mulkey said.

Mulkey alluded to the fact that Wallace's injury was serious after the West Virginia game, saying that Kristy would have returned to the game if she felt she was able play.

"With any ACL surgery, you don't go into surgery immediately, range of motion, rehab, things like that, before she will have the surgery, so heck I don't know that could be two, three, four weeks. Now when she's cleared to do surgery, good luck to that doctor or trainer that tries to cut on her cuz I know Kristy Wallace will be begging to put a brace on and just try to play," Mulkey said.

The Lady Bears have a send off tomorrow morning at 8:30 am.
