Tiger Changes His Stripes

Clemson Transfer All In with Coach Rhule

Waco, TX - Jake Fruhmorgen started eight games for Clemson during their 2016 National Title run, but when deciding to transfer he heard a pretty clear message that brought him to Baylor.

Fruhmorgen, familiar with Coach Rhule heard the message he was preaching at Baylor and knew right away that Rhule was a guy he could definitely see himself suiting up for.

"I knew coach Rhule's previous reputation at Temple, and how the toughness was built there, and you could just see how his team played," he said. "You always would watch Temple and be like, that's a tough team, we wanna be like, that's a team you wanna be like so, I think that appealed to me."

Fruhmorgen has seen first-hand what it takes to win a national title and he believes the right mindset is in place at Baylor to try and do some special things.

"I remember watching coach Rhule on ESPN and the guy was like, 'Coach, what's your expectation this year, and coach Rhule said I want to win a National Championship,'" he recalled. "'And the guys like come on man, and I remember coach Rhule was like confident in wanting to say it, that really stuck out to me."

Fruhmorgen started nine games in two seasons at Clemson and is looking forward to starting his first at Baylor this fall.
