UMHB Men’s Basketball: Sam Moore Named to All-South Region Team

BELTON, Texas – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men’s basketball team placed one player on the All-South Region Team, released on Monday. Sam Moore was named to the All-South Third Team.

Moore, a sophomore guard from Nixon-Smiley High School, led the Cru in scoring and rebounding at 19.6 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. He shot 48 percent from the field and 40 percent from three-point range. Moore also added 62 assists and 35 steals on the season. He was voted to the American Southwest Conference All-Conference Team and also earned First Team ASC All-West Division honors this spring.

The Cru men finished 21-6 overall and won the ASC West Division with an 11-5 league record. UMHB advanced to the Semifinals of the ASC Championship Tournament in its league record 19th tournament appearance.
