Baylor’s Green and Gold game will kick off tomorrow at noon at McLane Stadium where there will be plenty of youth on display.
The Bears have several veterans recovering from injuries that will keep them out of the Spring game on Saturday, but it will offer some of the younger players like Tyquan Thornton a chance to get reps to better prepare them for the 2018 season.
“I want to get more physical when the ball is short,” he said. “I’ve got to work on attacking the ball, slowing down for the ball, that’s basically it.”
Sophomore Jalen Pitre is a part of a linebacker corps that is lacking depth right now, but he likes the way the younger players have stepped up and he is looking forward to another chance to play in front of the fans tomorrow afternoon.
“It’s definitely a bigger atmosphere and I feel like it’s going to be a scene out there on Saturday,” he said. “It’s going to be great to just be out there and witness what we bring to the table.”
